Those in KLC sound like a joke when we talk about these kind of high resonant classic ANALOG sounds.

KORG LEGACY COLLECTION ANALOG EDITION PC
the VST PC is different than the AU MAC.ĭifference between KLC and real Polysix i found so far: The bass sounds stable in the AU, totally unstable in the Hardware. The Pads sound close, the hware sounds lower tuned, the AU sounds like a veil infront of the sound. The bells sound totally different here, hardware sounds darker but better. too much open in the AU, or too closed in the hardware, also pitch sounds unstable in the hardware. The Real Korg Filter its a) lower in hertz, or b) the -12dB -18dB -24dB slope was wrong emulated. Was impressive close, the main difference its the filter, in the AU is not as low as the Real Korg, that can be emulated in the Au with the Analog Knob at maximum. the bass, sounds more stable in the AU, in the Real Korg sounds very unstable. I think that the AU plug did a pretty good job except for the unison bass patch. I made these from scratch, and I only used what the polysix has and not any of the digital counterparts extras.

i have it in the closet as i have a few v.a.'s around that work for knobs. the only issue i have with the legacy collection is the crappy build quality of the ms-20 module that came with it as mine broke after a few months and the jacks won't function to route signals so i'm stuck with a few knobs and a crappy micro-korg keybed.
KORG LEGACY COLLECTION ANALOG EDITION UPGRADE
didn't see the need to pay again for the mono-poly just to get the ms and poly six all over again and can't do the upgrade as i bought the original secondhand. the only one i can't comment on is the mono-poly in the analog edition as i have the original and digital only. the ms-20 is nowhere close and the wavestation and m-1 are so close you can't tell blindfolded.
KORG LEGACY COLLECTION ANALOG EDITION PATCH
also since they're halfway there with the poly-six how about a trident? that's what i really want a trident with the ability to store the patch for the brass and string sections not just the poly synth section only.Īnd yes the legacy polysix is really close to the actual polysix. they only like the sounds and the melody so who cares really? but they are so close that in a mix you can't tell and the audience doesn't know a polysix from a minimoog from a dx-7.

Sold the polysix and haven't even regretted it at all.
